Hall of Fame linebacker Dick Butkus joined Twitter in September 2020, but the NFL legend didn’t get verified until Friday. And shortly after receiving the blue checkmark, the Chicago Bears’ great celebrated by taking a shot at Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Butkus, 79, actually tagged on Rodgers on Twitter to help with the verification process a week ago: “hey @AaronRodgers 12 help me get verified or more than your toe will be hurting.”
The two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year showed off his personality in many more tweets on Friday:
Congrats to Butkus on finally getting his Twitter verified, and it’s clear that he’ll be an entertaining follow.
