Earlier this month, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson tried to return from a shoulder injury during a game against the Indianapolis Colts, but he was quickly pulled from the game. And it seems that Watson now knows that his attempt to return was a little bit premature.
During his press conference this week, Deshaun Watson revealed that he “tried to jump the gun a little bit” in his return against the Indianapolis Colts and it ultimately led to another setback.
“I told the guys I was ready Indianapolis week. That was my decision and, look, I wasn’t ready,” Watson said. “So, I tried to jump the gun a little bit and it didn’t go our way. So, at the end of the day, you’ve got to listen to the experts.
“This is my first time dealing with this, so of course I know my body. So I’m keeping track of everything that I’m doing, letting them know what’s going on, and what’s good, what’s not good. So, I think we’ll all be on the same page and we’ll all feel right when that time comes.”
It’s pretty brutal news for Watson, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media.

Watson does not yet know if he will be able to play in this week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
