With Aaron Rodgers still yet to make a decision regarding his future in the NFL, the top available quarterback on the free agent market is former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr. And at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine, it looks like he’ll be meeting with a few teams to discuss his future.
According to a report from league insider Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network, Derek Carr will meet the New York Jets, the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers at the NFL Combine.
“When QB Derek Carr arrives in Indianapolis today, he’ll have in-person free agent meetings with 3 teams: The #Jets, the #Saints, and the #Panthers. He’s already visited New Orleans and NYJ, now he adds Carolina and maybe more. Coaches, GMs, owners all in the same spot this week,” Rapoport said in a tweet.
Earlier this month, Carr had already met with the Saints and the Jets, visiting the teams at their facilities. He will meet with those two teams again this week, with the Panthers joining the mix of teams interested in Carr.
All three teams are in need of a quarterback this season and only the Panthers have a top-10 pick that could potentially be used to add a rookie quarterback.
