The Cleveland Browns are already making a change at the quarterback position after veteran Joe Flacco threw more interceptions than touchdowns in the first four games of the season.

“Change in Cleveland: Browns are benching veteran QB Joe Flacco in favor of rookie QB Dillon Gabriel, per sources. The Browns were informed of the change this morning. Gabriel’s first NFL start comes Sunday in London vs. the Vikings,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Things may get even more complicated for the Browns’ quarterback room, as head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that Deshaun Watson, whose 2024 season ended early after an Achilles injury, has been focused on his recovery and is progressing well.

“Deshaun’s doing a great job with his rehab, and that’s really where his focus is,” Stefanski said, according to Pro Football Talk.

A clip of Watson moving well during his recovery process has even gone viral on social media.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Imagine getting paid $270 mil to do PT for 4 year,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“He’s still a terrible quarterback,” another fan added.

“Aaahhhhhhh man we’re gonna see Deshaun at some point this year, aren’t we?” someone else added.

It’ll be interesting to see what the plan is if Watson is cleared to return this season.
