The Las Vegas Raiders continued their struggles on Sunday, blowing a 17-point lead in a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Star wide receiver Davante Adams had an excellent game and had some critiques about the Raiders’ decision-making down the stretch of the game.
Adams had a vintage performance on Sunday, racking in 10 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
Nine of Adams’ catches came in the first half of the game and helped the Raiders jump out to a 20-10 lead at the half.
They went away from the passing game in the second half, and Adams was unsure exactly why that decision was made by the Raiders coaching staff.
“There’s no reason why we should be losing games like this and it’s frustrating,” said Adams via ESPN reporter Paul Gutierrez. If we played for a s***ty team, then it’s one thing. But that’s not what it is.”
The Raiders ultimately decided to lean on their running game led by star running back Josh Jacobs, which Adams seems to believe was a mistake.
“The way we were attacking in the first half was working, to a certain extent. I feel like we got away from that and started playing the game a little different and that’s not the way we’ve got to do it.”
Many Raiders fans took to social media to agree with Adams’ stance on the seemingly conservative play-calling from head coach Josh McDaniels.

It certainly seems like Davante Adams has every right to be frustrated with the Raiders’ utter collapse on Sunday.
This loss puts the Raiders to 2-6 on the season, and hope of a potential playoff berth this season seems to be slowly fading for Las Vegas.
