Davante Adams left the Green Bay Packers to play for the Las Vegas Raiders last season, leaving behind Aaron Rodgers to play with Derek Carr. Now that Carr is leaving town, it looks like Adams is putting out the call to Rodgers to join him in Sin City.
Adams was asked on Twitter recently which neighborhood Rodgers, who is rumored to be on the trading block, might be moving to. The wide receiver responded by saying “Mine.”
What does Davante know that we don’t know? Probably nothing, but it’s certainly interesting to see the former Packers star publicly implying he’d love to reunite with his old quarterback.
Would Rodgers want to play for the Raiders? It doesn’t seem likely. He’s made it clear he doesn’t want to play for the 49ers but the Jets have been rumored as a likely trade destination, assuming the Packers pull the trigger. He also recently said he hasn’t made any kind of decision one way or another.
Whoever plays quarterback, Adams has made it clear he wants to stay in Vegas, but he wants input on who plays quarterback.
“Yeah, absolutely, I wouldn’t have been here or ended up here, originally, probably if Derek (Carr) wasn’t here,” said Adams recently. “But that doesn’t necessarily mean that I won’t be here in the event that he’s not here. But my dream was to play for this team before he was a Raider, and at this point I want to try to make this thing work and continue on doing what I’m doing here, myself get better and see the team grow and get better as well.”
