Disgraced former NFL owner Daniel Snyder is finally out of the game. After several decades of futility, Snyder sold the Washington Commanders to billionaire Josh Harris.
Snyder now faces a different kind of problem, however. It turns out that he seems to have listed his house too expensively for sale.
Nicki Jhabvala, Washington reporter for the Washington Post, noted the price reduction on X. Originally, Snyder listed the Potomac, Maryland mansion for $34,900,000. But Jhabvala pointed out that there was a significant reduction of $14,000,000, meaning the estate is now listed at $20,900,000.
Granted, this is absolutely a rich person’s problem, as your average U.S. citizen can’t afford a $20 million home. But still noteworthy nonetheless for the disgraced former Commanders owner.
Daniel Snyder faced more investigations while he owned the team than Washington had All-Pros, so Commander fans weren’t upset to see him go. For decades, Snyder not only drove one of the NFL’s cornerstone franchises into the ground, but he also was at the helm of a dysfunctional, toxic, and at times extremely inappropriate work environment. Washington won four Super Bowls before Snyder bought the team, and they haven’t come anywhere close since then.
During Friday night’s preseason game, the new owner Josh Harris was seen interacting with fans out of the owner’s suite and in the stands.
