While most saw the hit that led to Damar Hamlin needing CRP and an ambulance to the hospital as a freak accident that happened as a result of a very normal football play, not everyone seems to agree with that as ESPN analyst Bart Scott decided to blame Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins for the injury, claiming that Higgins lowered his helmet into the chest of Hamlin – which did not happen.

But even though some people may have that opinion, the family of Damar Hamlin has revealed that they do share that belief.

In an interview with Coley Harvey of ESPN, Hamlin’s friend and business partner Jordon Rooney said that Hamlin’s father wants all criticism of Higgins to stop.

“Damar’s father is among those calling for any criticisms of Bengals WR Tee Higgins (who was part of the play Damar was injured on) to STOP,” Havery said in a Tweet on Wednesday.

Shortly after the game was ultimately postponed by the NFL, Higgins was clearly shaken up by the incident and posted a message on social media expressing his payers and support for Hamlin. Higgins also has the support the vast majority of the NFL world, and apparently Hamlin’s family.
