The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most storied and tradition-rich franchises in the history of professional football, but it’s safe to say the team hasn’t enjoyed a lot of recent success. And one particularly brutal fact highlights that.
On Friday this week, sports anchor Mike Leslie of WFAA in Dallas shared some absolutely brutal news with the Dallas Cowboys fans, revealing that the number of days it’s been since the Cowboys appeared in an NFC title game has now reached five digits.
“As of today, June 2, 2023, it has been 10,000 days since the Dallas Cowboys last played in an NFC Championship Game,” Leslie wrote on Twitter on Friday afternoon.
It’s an absolutely brutal update for Cowboys fans, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter as a result.

The Cowboys did take a small step in the right direction this past season when they defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs, marking the franchise’s first win over Tom Brady in history in what turned out to be Brady’s final NFL game.
The Cowboys will hope to get over the hump this year and put an end to this brutal stat.
