The Dallas Cowboys are looking to get back to the playoffs after an injury-ravaged season caused them to miss the postseason entirely last year. To help make their return to title contention a certainty, the Cowboys traded with the Pittsburgh Steelers for star wide receiver George pickens this offseason.
Now, Cowboys franchise quarterback Dak Prescott is talking about what he thinks Pickens brings to the table.
“You turn on that guy’s tape. He’s getting separation. He’s got separation even when he’s not getting the ball at times. And when he doesn’t have separation, he’s still making the catches. … For me, it’s about getting that ball near that guy and letting him go be George Pickens,” Prescott said, according to Underdog NFL.
Fans reacted to the statement on social media.
“The way Pickens owns the field is something special. He turns tight spaces into highlight reels and makes it look effortless every time,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“This is funny bc one of Pickens worst qualities is getting separation and it’s not close,” someone else added.
“Must be 2 George Pickens cause the one last yr was not getting separation like that. If I’m wrong, someone show me tape of him consistently getting separation,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Pickens can keep up the production when the season rolls around.
