This offseason, Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys added a new weapon to their offense when the team added veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the team by way of a trade with the Houston Texans last month. And it sure sounds like Prescott is excited about his new teammate.
During an appearance on The Adam Schefter Podcast this week, Dak Prescott revealed that he just completed his first throwing session with Brandin Cooks this week. And from the sound of it, Prescott liked what he saw from his newest receiving weapon.
“It’s exciting, I’ll say that. It was very exciting to throw with him today. The guy is different. That is real speed,” Prescott said on the podcast according to USA Today.
The Cowboys already had plenty of talent in their receiving corps with CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup leading the way, but adding someone with the speed and game-breaking ability as Cooks will certainly add a whole new level to the team’s offensive attack.
Cowboys fans will obviously have to wait until the fall to see what the offense looks like with Cooks added to the mix, but based on Prescott’s words, they have reason to be excited.
