This offseason, the Dallas Cowboys added another weapon to their receiving corps when they acquired veteran receiver Brandin Cooks by way of a trade with the Houston Texans. And it sure sounds like quarterback Dak Prescott is excited about the big addition.
Prescott said that he could feel Cooks’ impact on the offense as soon as he joined the team, explaining that the veteran player provided an instant boost to the entire wide receivers room.
“The moment that guy showed up, just watching him in workouts and how he carries himself from drill-to-drill, what he does pre-workout and post-workout to take care of his body to have that speed,” Prescott said of Cooks according to NFL.com. “When you throw it to him, it stands out, his speed is different from many others. He’s already been helping CeeDee, helping the young guys, playing cornerback to teach them the little nuances of route-running. It’s gonna be huge for me and huge for the room.”
Cowboys fans will undeniably be excited about the new addition to the team. It will be interesting to see how much his presence in the locker room and on the field boosts the team’s production next season.
