The Washington Commanders are off to a modest 1-1 start to the season as they look to build upon last season’s success and go all the way to the Super Bowl this time around. A big part of the Commanders being able to achieve their goals hinges on the continued development of young quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Unfortunately, Daniels has had some unfortunate injury news confirmed by a prominent league insider, and the Commanders may have to figure out a way to stay afloat without their young phenom for the time being.
“Source: Commanders QB Jayden Daniels suffered a knee injury last Thursday during Washington’s loss in Green Bay. His availability for Week 3 against the Raiders is unknown,” reported Diana Russini of The Athletic on Monday on Twitter.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Pretty wild after the investments in the OL this offseason, Jayden gets hurt in week 2 on a scramble. Just shows you that the game in unpredictable,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Everybody getting injured and the season just started,” someone else added.
“mannnnn i would say its his knees too…I seen those hits thursday,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Commanders adjust if they are without Daniels for a significant amount of time.
