The Indianapolis Colts are off to a red-hot start through the first seven weeks of the 2025 campaign. The Colts currently sport the best record in the NFL at 6-1, and with the struggling Tennessee Titans up next on the schedule, Indy should be able to keep the train rolling.

Daniel Jones is playing the best football of his career after winning the starting job from Anthony Richardson in the offseason, and he, paired with star running back Jonathon Taylor, has the offense looking like one of the top units in the league.

Unfortunately, the offense is going to have to keep performing at the top of its game if the Colts want to keep the good vibes coming, as one of their most important defensive pieces is expected to miss significant time, according to one prominent NFL insider.

“Colts pass rusher Samson Ebukam is expected to miss multiple weeks with an MCL injury, per sources. Ebukam, who has two sacks this season, is getting a second opinion,” reported Jeremy Fowler of ESPN on Monday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Yeah I figured it was pretty bad. Colts need to get some pass rush help. Time for JTT to step up,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“The Colts can’t really afford to be losing pass rushers, but maybe JT Tuimoloau can show some juice,” another fan added.

The last thing this #Colts pass rush needs is for its defensive end room to start losing bodies. Ebukam’s absence all but guarantees that rookie DE J.T. Tuimoloau will get some more run,” someone else wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Colts respond.
