The Cleveland Browns detailed Myles Garrett’s injuries and said his Week 4 status is still undetermined in the wake of Monday’s scary rollover crash.
The Browns released an update Tuesday evening detailing Garrett’s injuries as a shoulder sprain and biceps strain, along with minor lacerations, bumps, and bruises.
“We are thankful that Myles, his passenger and no other parties were seriously injured in the single-car accident yesterday,” the statement said.
“Myles didn’t suffer any fractures and has also cleared concussion protocol. Currently, our focus is on providing Myles the medical care needed for him to return to football activity. Although we hope to have him back soon, his availability for Sunday’s game in Atlanta will be evaluated by team doctors throughout the week.”
The star defensive end and a female passenger left the Browns practice facility in Berea, OH on Monday afternoon, and Garrett reportedly swerved to miss an animal and lost control on the wet pavement. His 2021 Porsche left the road and flipped several times. Garrett was treated and released from an area hospital Monday night.
The Browns are obviously not going to rush their three-time Pro Bowl player back if there’s any question about his condition, but the fact he hasn’t been ruled out of Sunday’s game yet is a good sign he could play.
