Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is seeking court-ordered protection from Ambar Hunter, a woman he alleges is harassing him and his mother.
TMZ Sports broke the story.
“Earlier today Mr. Chase filed a restraining order in Los Angeles County in connection with Ms. Hunter’s ongoing harassment of Mr. Chase and his family since 2021,” Chase’s attorneys, Jason Lampert and Michael Goldstein, said in a statement released Tuesday to TMZ.
“After exhausting every out of court remedy, he was left with no other option. Mr. Chase intends to use all legal options to protect himself and family from this unwarranted harassment. We have no further comment while this matter is pending.”
Chase claims that Hunter started harassing him and his mother after a one-night stand. In the documents, Chase alleges an “unhinged and disturbing” pattern of harassment, according to TMZ. He claims she threatened them after he refused to continue their relationship after the one night of “romance” according to the outlet.
That was in 2021, according to Chase, and since then she’s tried to damage his brand, reputation and corporate sponsorships through “calculated and ongoing harassment.”
Chase even claims that Hunter is peddling false tales of domestic violence while no law agency has found her credible.
Chase seeks to obtain a restraining order against the woman.
