Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are finally putting it all together after a shaky start to the year. Kansas City throttled the Las Vegas Raiders 31-0 on Sunday in star wide receiver Rashee Rice’s return from his six-game suspension. Head coach Andy Reid spoke about getting Rice back after the game.

“He did a great job,” Reid said. “I was a little cautious with him on how many plays and all that. I thought he came out and functioned at a high level for being gone for all this time. It’s crazy that he can come back and do what he did and do it at the level that he did it at. We’ll gradually build him up. We’ll get his reps up here a little bit as we go.

“You got to be careful with that when somebody’s been off for a while. I thought all of them together did some really good things. Then at the end, Xavier [Worthy] had another [end] around that he did very well with. There’s a lot of things happening there that are positive.”

Unfortunately, the Chiefs also got some brutal injury news, losing one of their most important young pieces for the season to a torn ACL, according to one prominent NFL insider.

Chiefs DT Omarr Norman-Lott, their second rounder this year, suffered a torn ACL and is out for the season, sources say. The promising young lineman turns his attention to a full recovery for 2026,” reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Damn… this is always so tough to see when these guys are on their rookie deals. Prayers for a quick recovery,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“DAMN, hate seeing a young guy like that be done for the season right as he was starting to heat up. Hopefully he can still be in the building and getting mental reps and watching film with everyone and still learning while he rehabs. Prayers up for a speedy recovery ONL,” someone else added.

“Tough break for the rookie. Wishing Omarr Norman-Lott a strong recovery and comeback in 2026,” another fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Chiefs replace Norman-Lott’s production.
