Chandler Jones wrecks Titans with 5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles before 4th quarter

Well, we can go ahead and give Chandler Jones the Week 1 NFC Defensive Player of the Week award already.

The Arizona Cardinals’ star pass-rusher annihilated the Tennessee Titans in a 38-13 victory on Sunday in Nashville, recording five sacks and two forced fumbles. And he did all that in just three quarters.

Jones would finish with five sacks, two shy of the absurd record of seven sacks in a game, set by Derrick Thomas in 1990.

The 31-year-old had 19 sacks in 2019, and perhaps he’ll top that incredible mark in 2021. He’ll look to continue his destructive ways against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2.
