In the weeks and months leading up to the NFL Draft, it’s extremely common for top NFL Draft prospects and hopefuls to make visits to NFL teams across the country. It’s an important part of the pre-draft process as it allows teams and players to become comfortable with each other and determine a good fit – just like any other job interview. But apparently, one top draft prospect didn’t see the value in it.
During an appearance on NFL Now on the NFL Network this week, Pitt Panthers defensive tackle Calijah Kancey had a brutally honest admission about his pre-draft process, according to NFL reporter James Palmer of the NFL Network.
Pitt’s DT Calijah Kancey, who is expected to go in the first round, just said on NFL NOW on @nflnetwork he did not go on a single official visit,” Palmer said in a tweet.
It’s an absolutely insane move by Kancey which does not seem to be in his best interest, and the NFL world absolutely blasted the strange decision on social media this week.
Why? That seems so odd.

Not visiting a single team before the draft is certainly a bold choice to make, so we’ll have to see how that works out for him in the coming weeks.
