The Cleveland Browns’ offense has been struggling through the first two weeks of the season. Cleveland has been trotting out veteran Joe Flacco as the starter thus far, a move that fans have found infuriating as they haven’t gotten a chance to assess rookies Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel.
It isn’t as if Flacco is lighting up box scores either, as he’s thrown more touchdowns than interceptions so far. Now, in light of the offensive struggles, head coach Kevin Stefanski is making a shocking decision regarding his starter.
“#Browns Stefanski said he won’t consider a quarterback change from Joe Flacco to Dillon Gabriel,” reported Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot.
Fans reacte to the news on social media.
“I’m tired of the browns always doing this (stuff) flacco has nothing to gain, we’ve seen everything we could see, let the rookies play!” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Stefanski should just rent out his defense to a team offensively good, but struggling defensively, for the remainder of the season,” someone else added.
“Look at the young QBs in the league. I agree with others. I love Joe, but he’s slowing down. Give Gabriel a chance on Sunday. He throws darts and is more mobile. Otherwise, Micah will have himself a day,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how Stefanski’s stubbornness pays off for Cleveland.
