The Cleveland Browns had a dissapointing 2024 campaign. Despite entering the season with aspirations of competing for the AFC North title, the Browns went 3-14 on the season to finish last in the division and miss the playoffs.
After the disappointing season, star pass rusher and face of the franchise Myles Garrett requested a trade, citing that he felt an inability to compete for Super Bowls in the near future with the franchise.
Now, Browns general manager Andrew Berry is revealing where he expects the star to end up, according to one prominent league insider.
“Browns GM Andrew Berry updating reporters today on any potential Myles Garrett trade: ‘Our stance really has not changed. We’re not interested in moving him,'” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Fans reacted to the news that the Browns intend on keeping Garrett in Cleveland on social media.
“Translation, no one has come close to offering a 1st in an edge heavy draft class year,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Someone will eventually have to blink. Garrett backing off his trade request or he Browns satisfying his trade request,” one fan added.
“browns sticking to their guns, keeping garrett despite trade buzz—smart move or missed opportunity?” another fan wanted to know.
It’ll be interesting to see how the situation continues to play out.
