David Njoku posted a selfie on Instagram Wednesday showing the extent of burns he suffered in a recent accident.
The veteran Cleveland Browns tight end suffered burns to his face and arms while lighting a fire pit at his home.
Originally listed as questionable for the Week 4 game against the Baltimore Ravens, Njoku arrived at the stadium in a full face mask and played.
After seeing his post on Wednesday, fans are amazed that Njoku played in that game. The photo shows extensive burns to Njoku’s face.
The Browns had a bye in Week 5, giving Njoku an extra week to heal. He missed practice Wednesday with a right shoulder injury, putting his status for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers up in the air.
But given Njoku played with those painful burns, is a minor shoulder injury really going to sideline him? Fans shared their amazement at Njoku’s toughness.
