Bryan Cranston and his Breaking Bad sidekick Aaron Paul popped up in Super Bowl LVII in a bizarre and hilarious commercial.
The actors, channeling their characters Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, appeared in an RV, cooking something. If you’re a fan of the Breaking Bad universe, which went on to include the highly acclaimed show Better Call Saul and the film El Camino, you know they were supposed to be cooking meth, as they did in the show.
Instead, they were working on a batch of the snack food PopCorners, which paid an undisclosed amount to lure the pair for the commercial. Their drug-dealing pal/nemesis Tuco (actor Raymond Cruz) made an appearance too, yelling “Tight! Tight! Tight!” after tasting some of the blue snack food.

Give the commercial’s creators props for the script and production, and of course, Cranston, Paul and Cruz nailed their parts. But as Cranston told Extra recently, the Super Bowl LVII commercial might mark the end of the “Breaking Bad” universe.
“This might be the retiring episode of the ‘Breaking Bad’ universe,” Cranston told Extra. “I’ve had opportunities to bring Walter White into the milieu. I did it for Aaron’s movie ‘El Camino’ and then once again for ‘Better Call Saul.’ We were able to come back and each time we think, ‘Well, this is the last time we’re ever going to do this, and then PopCorners calls and it was like, ‘Well, we’ll do it one more time.’”
