The Cincinnati Bengals are scrambling to say the least. The Bengals have lost four straight games since losing quarterback Joe Burrow to a brutal turf toe injury. Now, faced with short rest, the Bengals are looking at not having star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson available for their Thursday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Bengals edge Trey Hendrickson is day-to-day with a back injury after a good result on the MRI. To even have a chance to play on Thursday is positive news,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Monday.

On Tuesday, it looked less likely than ever that he’d be ready for Thursday.

Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson (hip) estimated to miss practice on Tuesday. Would not have practiced yesterday, either. Bengals scheduled to practice later this evening,” ESPN’s Ben Baby reported on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the Bengals got even more terrible injury news.

“Bengals placed TE Mike Gesicki on injured reserve due to a pectoral injury,” reported ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“It would be great if the Bengals could stay just slightly healthy for majority of the season. Just one time, I beg,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Another tough loss for the Bengals, they have been decimated all season with injuries,” another fan noted.

It’ll be interesting to see where the Bengals’ season goes from here.
