The Cincinnati Bengals are scrambling to get things back on track after losing star quarterback Joe Burrow to a turf toe injury. Burrow was replaced by Jake Browning, but after three disastrous starts, it was apparent that Browning wasn’t the guy for the job.

The Bengals traded with the Cleveland Browns to acquire veteran quarterback Joe Flacco. Flacco is now in line to start on Sunday for Cincinnati. Unfortunately for him and the Bengals, he may be without the Bengals’ top target, Ja’Marr Chase in his debut for the franchise, according to one prominent league insider.

“Chase took part in the team’s walkthrough on Friday morning, but he was sent home before practice because of an illness. He is listed as questionable to play this weekend as a result,” reported Pro Football Talk’s Josh Alper.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Hopefully he just faking and hell be fine Sunday lol come on man let’s win some games,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“So be prepared for someone to get sick Saturday going into game day and miss the game,” another fan added.

“Uno hangs with Flacco and suddenly is sick. I feel like we are targeted by insurgents,” one Bengals fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see how Flacco does if Chase can’t go on Sunday.
