Many around the NFL world expected Chicago Bears starting quarterback Justin Fields to take a big leap forward in his third season in the NFL. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case, and fans are now calling for his head after his latest rough performance on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fields showed some real superstar potential at times last season, rushing for over 100 yards on multiple occasions. Almost none of that has transferred over to the 2023 season thus far, as the Bears offense looks extremely lost and doesn’t appear to have much of an identity.
Facing off against the defending Super Bowl champions in Week 3 certainly doesn’t help things, and the game went how most expected, ending in a dominant Chiefs victory.
Fields struggles also continued, throwing for only 99 yards yards while completing only 50 percent of his passes. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes dominated on the other side of the field, which led to the Chiefs 41-10 victory.
This is now the third straight game where Fields has struggled heavily, and Bears fans are now calling for significant changes, whether that be a a coaching change, or a change at the quarterback position.
No Joke.. Justin Fields might be worst starter in NFL.. this guy is flat out terrible

If the blowout loss for the Bears wasn’t bad enough, they also had Fields leave the game briefly while playing in garbage time after taking a hit to the head from a Chiefs defender. He was able to return, but obviously any head injury is an area of concern for both him and the Bears.
Obviously the first priority for the Bears is to make sure that Fields is healthy. But if he is indeed able to go in Week 4, they need to make some serious changes to help him show more flashes of his 2022 play.
