The Baltimore Ravens entered the season with Super Bowl aspirations, hopeful that this was the season Lamar Jackson finally broke through and defeated Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills or Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs when it mattered most to have his first crack at a Lombardi trophy.

Unfortunately for Jackson and Baltimore, the Ravens are sitting at 1-2 through the first three games of the season. For the most part, Jackson has looked every bit the part of a multiple-time MVP winner, but the Ravens’ defense has been a let-down.

Now, things are set to get even worse for Baltimore’s defense, with head coach John Harbaugh confirming a brutal injury prognosis on Wednesday.

“Harbaugh said he is concerned about Nnamdi Madubuike. Said he won’t play Sunday. Asked if it’s a long term thing, Harbaugh said he’s not been given green light to comment,” reported Jeff Zrebiec of the Athletic.

Fans reacted to the brutal development on social media.

“We all know it’s career ending, everyone is just giving him the respect of announcing that on his own,” one fan speculated on Twitter.

“Is this the moment the Ravens start falling behind in a stacked AFC?” someone else wondered.

“It’s over. This and last weeks update I think he may have suffered a career ending neck injury. That’s horrible,” another fan added.

Hopefully, Madubuike will get through whatever he is dealing with and make a full recovery.
