While the Baltimore Ravens are still hoping to work out a long-term deal with Lamar Jackson, the team is keeping its options open at the position. Baltimore currently has three quarterbacks under contract – Tyler Huntley, Anthony Brown and Jackson, who the Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on earlier in the offseason.

Even though the team signed Odell Beckham, Jr., which could point to the team’s plans under center, the Ravens are still doing their due diligence on this year’s draft prospects. That includes Florida’s Anthony Richardson, who is reportedly meeting with the Ravens on Wednesday, according to CBS Sports NFL insider Josina Anderson.

Richardson is also scheduled to meet with the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons, in addition to the Ravens, as he wraps up in-person team visits this week. The Indianapolis Colts have also scheduled a follow-up virtual interview with Richardon, according to Anderson.

The Ravens are the only team outside the top-12 that is meeting with Richardson this week. It’s very unlikely that Richardson will still be on the board when Baltimore makes its selection at No. 22 overall, so the Ravens would need to part with significant draft capital to be in his range. That potential loss of draft capital could be counteracted by another team signing Jackson to an offer sheet, which would allow the Ravens to receive two first-round picks as compensation.

In any event, Richardson presents himself as an intriguing option for a Baltimore team that’s uncertain about the future of its quarterback position. Ultimately, we’ll have to wait just under two weeks to see where he ends up landing.
