The Cleveland Browns shocked everyone this offseason when they traded with the Houston Texans for star quarterback Deshaun Watson.
This move obviously left Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield in a precarious situation moving forward, with the team seemingly not in any hurry to trade the top pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Mayfield has clearly become agitated with the organization following this move, as he has already previously stated that he wants to be traded as soon as possible.
Baker spoke about his situation in the most recent episode of the YNK Podcast, where he clearly voiced his frustrations with how the organization has handled his career.
“I feel disrespected, 100 percent,” said Mayfield. “Because I was told one thing and they did another. That’s what I’m in the middle of right now. I’ve had four different head coaches in four years. A bunch of different coordinators. 2019 sucked, 2020 was great, made the playoffs, and 2021 was miserable. I am just looking for stabilization right now.
“I know what I need to do to be the best version of me and to be able to lead an organization. I am in a good place right now. I have no clue where I am going.”
His comments have certainly gotten the NFL world talking with many coming to his defense.
Meanwhile, others feel that Baker wasn’t owed anything by the organization and that the Browns did the right thing in finding his replacement.

Others just simply can’t focus on anything other than Mayfield’s dog who is the star of this interview if you paid attention to him.
Mayfield is not wrong, when you listen to his grievances. He has had almost no stability in terms of coaches and that is solely on the Browns organization.
That being said, Deshaun Watson has proved on the field that he is the more productive quarterback over the years, even though he brings entirely different baggage with him. Even though it may have been controversial for the Browns to have acquired him, and perhaps even unethical, Watson will probably put the Browns in a better position to be a contender.
