The Las Vegas Raiders brought proven winners into the fold in Pete Carroll as the new head coach and Tom Brady as a majority owner, but the two are struggling to help guide Las Vegas toward victories.
The Raiders are 2-5 on the season and suffered their worst loss of the season on Sunday at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs, losing the game 31-0. Now, one of the bright young stars of the offense is speaking out about the organization’s culture, and acknowledging how poor it has been since even before he arrived.
“If we were being honest, it’s been a losing culture around here for a long time,” rookie running back Ashton Jeanty said to reporters in the locker room.
Fans reacted to the brutal assessment on social media.
“It’s Mark Davis fault for firing Jon Gruden while giving in to the woke NFL demands. He could have levied a fine and a few game suspension. We were on the verge of rebuilding the Raider Nation. He perpetuated the losing culture by terminating Gruden,” one fan wrote on Twittter.
“Ashton Jeanty ain’t done nothing to make this type of statement as a matter of fact! He’s not even OLD ENOUGH to make this type of statement,” someone else added.
“They been sucking before this guy was even born. Buckle up Ashton, it’s a long wait for that second contract somewhere else,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Raiders can get things turned around this season.
