The Pittsburgh Steelers traded for veteran receiver Allen Robinson II earlier this month, acquiring the star from the Los Angeles Rams. And based on the way he talked about his time with Los Angeles, it sure sounds like Robinson is happy to have been traded away to a different team.
On Monday, Allen Robinson made his first public comments since officially joining the team, and he had a pretty brutal assessment of his time with the Rams.
During the media availability, Robinson was asked specifically why his time with the Los Angeles Rams didn’t exactly work out. To answer the question, Robinson decided to quote NBA star, Patrick Beverly.
“If you’re a fork, you don’t want to be used as a spoon the majority of the time,” Robinson said according to Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer Alan Saunders of Steelers Now.
It was a pretty clear message about what he felt about his time with the Los Angeles Rams, and the NFL world had plenty to say in response, with many fans blasting Robinson for the take.
We’ll have to see how the trade works out for him and if he’s able to have more success with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
