Ever since Aaron Rodgers suffered what appeared to be a season-ending Achilles injury during his first drive of the season with the New York Jets earlier this year, there has been a lot of chatter about Rodgers potentially beating the odds and returning to the team at some point this season. And it sounds like Rodgers still isn’t ruling that out.
Following the New York Jets loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night, Aaron Rodgers was seen talking to defensive back Derwin James on the field. The conversation was caught by ESPN cameras and James can be heard asking Rodgers, “When are you coming back?”
Rodgers offered a pretty wild response: “Give me a few weeks.”
Given that it has only been eight weeks since Rodgers suffered the tear to his Achilles tendon, it seems pretty insane to think that he could be ready to return to the field in just a few more weeks, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

Obviously, this is not a formal indication of how Rodgers’ recovery is going, but it does seem that the future Hall of Fame quarterback is still intent on returning to the team this season. We’ll have to see what happens.
