Following the Green Bay Packers loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon, star Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers now has a decision to make regarding his future with the team and his NFL career, whether he’s going to retire or return to the team next season. And it looks like we have an update on that decision-making process and Rodgers’ moves.
Aaron Rodgers typically appears on the Pat McAfee show every Tuesday. But this week, Rodgers is notably absent. And McAfee gave some insight as to what he’s currently doing.
“There will be no Aaron Rodgers Tuesday today,” McAfee said. “That’s because Aaron Rodgers is meeting with the packers today and tomorrow. These are said to be lengthy meetings. We don’t know what’s going to come from them, but we do know that next week, Aaron Rodgers Tuesday – live and in action. The week after that Aaron Rodgers Tuesday – live and in action. So I think we’re going to have a lot of answers for what the future looks like after the next couple of days in Green Bay, in Lambeau, once 12 the quarterback meets with the team.
This is something that’s been taking place at least the last couple of years, we don’t know how long it’s been taking place. But Aaron and the Packers are meeting. We will talk to Aaron next Tuesday, I assume others might talk to him before then.”
Based on McAfee’s report, it sounds like we’ll have an update from Rodgers in the near future.
