Aaron Rodgers shops for healing crystals [via TMZ]

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers wants to play for the New York Jets next season. He has said so multiple times.

However, the Packers still control his rights while they shop for an acceptable package for the champion quarterback who views himself as the greatest player in franchise history. The Jets, for their part, don’t want to overpay for a 39-year-old quarterback who has an unknown number of good seasons left in him.

While industry insiders expect a deal to eventually get done, the current negotiations are at a bit of a stalemate. While he awaited news of his demanded trades, Rodgers shopped for healing crystals at Topanga Rocks in Topaganga, California, according to TMZ.

“Of course, in the spiritual world, there are several crystals that people think could help facilitate a Packers-Jets swap … including citrine, which is thought to bring luck to its owner. Or, maybe he was simply just hunting for a stone that could help him deal with the anxiety of the uncertainty of it all,” the outlet noted.

Only time will tell how healing crystals will help Rodgers perform next season, or if he chooses to retire rather than play another season with the Packers.

The NFL world was quick to react to the latest bizarre update in Rodgers’ offseason:
