The Pittsburgh Steelers have a new head coach in Mike McCarthy. However, McCarthy is still trying to solve the same question that Mike Tomlin was down the stretch of his 19-year tenure with the franchise: Who is the quarterback?

Last season, four-time MVP and former Super Bowl champion Aaron Rodgers led the Steelers to an AFC North title. However, Pittsburgh failed once again to record a playoff win, stretching Pittsburgh’s drought to a decade.

Now, McCarthy has to find the right arm to lead the franchise to some playoff success. Although McCarthy mentioned in his introductory press conference that he would love to have Rodgers back. However, much to the Steelers’ chagrin, Rodgers confirmed that no final decision on his playing career has been made or is imminent.

Aaron Rodgers says on @PatMcAfeeShow that he has not made any decisions on his future and there won’t be any announcements today,” reported Ari Meirov.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“The Aaron Rodgers Annual Media Attention Seeking Tour is officially started (again),” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“If the Steelers are dumb enough to wait on a 43-year-old QB who’s not that good anymore before making a decision and let this entire offseason go by idly, they are truly the dumbest franchise in the NFL,” someone else added.

“Of course not. He has to milk it for all the attention he can,” one fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Steelers are willing to wait on Rodgers again.
