Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (8) gets his bearings after being sacked in the fourth quarter, Sunday, September 7, 2025, in East Rutherford.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to end their playoff win drought before it reaches a full decade, which seems nearly unfathomable for a franchise as storied and accomplished as the Steelers have been over the years.

Pittsburgh brought in four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers to help get things turned around, despite him having arguably the worst two-year stretch of his career with the New York Jets. However, Rodgers has been a breath of fresh air.

The 41-year-old has already thrown 17 touchdown passes on the season and had the Steelers sitting at 4-2 heading into Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, the owners of the best record in the NFL.

Before the game, Steelers fans were forced to hold their breath when Rodgers suffered a finger injury during pregame warmups.

“Aaron Rodgers looks to have hurt his finger/hand taking a snap from Zach Frazier pregame. If I had a quarter for every time a Steelers QB injured a pinky on a snap this year, I’d have 50 cents. It’s not a lot, but weird it’s happened twice!” ESPN’s Brooke Pryor in the moments leading up to the game.
