Over the years, star NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers has developed quite a reputation for his somewhat bizarre interests and comments, including his affinity for psychedelic drugs. And he certainly solidified that reputation this week, on multiple counts
This week, Aaron Rodgers was a guest speaker at a psychedelics conference in Denver, Colorado where he advocated for the legalization of psychedelic drugs across the country.
“Is it not ironic that the things that actually expand your mind are illegal and the things that . . . dumb you down have been legal for centuries?” Rodgers said at the conference via audio provided to Pro Football Talk. “We’ve got to change that. We’ve got to change that. It’s through awareness and education.”
Rodgers also had some very bizarre comments about words and their “power.”
“You know, words are so interesting,” Rodgers said according to Pro Football Talk. “They have such power in their spells. There’s a reason it’s called ‘spelling,’ because the way that the letters are put together have such power.”
The comments certainly generated quite a reaction from people on social media.
I feel like Aaron Rodgers has, somehow, morphed from being complete milquetoast to being a walking Pink Floyd song. https://t.co/jCBIgOTeJe

Rodgers is right in a sense – his words were powerful enough that they got the Internet to make fun of him on social media.
