The No. 15-seed Montana Grizzlies are having a rather difficult time in their first-round NCAA Tournament game against the No. 2-seed Michigan Wolverines on Thursday night.

Michigan leads  34-21 at halftime, and has led by double-digits since taking a 17-6 lead with over 11 minutes to go. It looks even worse when you dig into the numbers; Montana is shooting 27.3% from the field (9-of-33), is 1-of-11 on three-pointers, and 2-of-4 at the free-throw line. They’re fortunate to “only” be down 13 to a terrific Michigan team.

And there’s one play from the first half that perfectly summarized Montana’s offensive struggles. Montana senior Bobby Moorehead made a very nice play to get a steal… and proceeded to brick the breakaway dunk.

Yikes. Even the extremely high-percentage shots aren’t falling for the Grizzlies.
