Former Alabama wide receiver Agiye Hall, who recently transferred to Texas, has reportedly scrubbed his social media accounts of the Longhorns and is not on the team’s roster.
Hall left Alabama to join his former offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, who is now the head coach of the Longhorns.
The wide receiver even gave a recent interview to a Longhorns’ website discussing how he felt like Alabama fans never supported him during his time down there.
“One thing that really stood out is the culture. Bama fans — they’re not really loving, if I could say — even when you leave,” Hall said. “Texas fans are like a family. They love you unconditionally. They want the best for you and want to make sure you’re striving to be the best person you are, whether it’s people in the stands, players or coaches. They’re all connected, which is a good thing.”
Before he left for Austin, Hall had been suspended by Bama head coach Nick Saban for violating team rules. Hall didn’t contribute much to the Alabama offense last year. He had 70 yards and 0 touchdowns but was expected to make an impact for the Longhorns this upcoming season.
Some Texas fans and media say that Hall not being on the roster isn’t a big deal because school hasn’t started yet, which may explain his absence. It doesn’t, however, explain why he scrub his social media accounts.
Texas plays Alabama in Austin in the second game of the college football season.
