The Tennessee Volunteers trailed the Wright State Raiders 8-5 with one out in the bottom of the ninth on Friday night, when Drew Gilbert stepped to the plate. And he turned it into a 9-8 Vols victory.
Gilbert cranked an 0-1 curveball over the right field wall for a walk-off grand slam. It made for an incredible scene in Knoxville:
This is the best time of the year in college baseball, and especially when you get moments like that.
Tennessee will now face Liberty on Saturday. The Flames beat Duke on Friday in the Knoxville regional.
