Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is back in Knoxville today for the No. 1 Crimson Tide’s tilt with the  No. 9 Tennessee Volunteers. It is a matchup of top-ten teams, and arguably the game of the weekend.

The Tennessee faithful are undoubtedly juiced to host the reigning national champs for a tilt that has current playoff implications, but don’t let the stakes fool you. For many fans, this is still about the return of Kiffin, who famously bolted from the Volunteers to USC after just one season as the team’s head coach.

Kiffin has not exactly been gracious towards Tennessee since he left either. He was goading Vols fans, and really the entire state, on Twitter as recently as August.

Well, now it was finally Tennessee’s turn to respond, and respond they did. Someone paid for a plane to fly a banner with the message, “Kiffin has small hands ask Layla 265hurt.com,” above Neyland Stadium on Saturday.

Small hands is a NSFW, Donald Trump-inspired dig at Kiffin’s manliness, and Layla is his ex-wife’s name. Finally, 265hurt.com directs to a Chattanooga law office that specializes in personal injury, so we’ll let you do the math from here.

To his credit, Kiffin looked as unbothered as ever as he took the field.

If Alabama wins, stayed tuned for Kiffin’s Twitter troll after the game. Or if Tennessee pulls the upset, prepare for a level of haughtiness and shade rarely exhibited by fans of any team or sport. Either way, it should be entertaining.

  1. That’s pretty sneaky advertising, but well played. If you want another option for a personal injury lawyer around Chattanooga then check out Dennis & King
