Wide receiver Kayshon Boutte entered the 2022-23 college football season as one of the top receivers in the country and a potential first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Boutte is undoubtedly the star player for the LSU Tigers under new head coach Brian Kelly, even earning the right to wear the team’s special No. 7 jersey this season. But it looks like his time with the team could be over after just one game this season.
Following LSU’s disappointing 24-23 loss to the Florida State Seminoles on Sunday night, it appears the team’s star wide receiver has removed every mention of LSU from his Instagram bio, perhaps indicating his time with the team is over.
Naturally, the cryptic move generated quite a buzz and elicited plenty of speculation and commentary from the college football world, who reacted on Twitter.

Boutte finished Sunday night’s game with just two catches for 20 yards as the LSU offense struggled to move the ball and score points for the majority of the game.
There’s no formal word on if Boutte does plan to leave the team. However, even if he never plays another snap of college football, there’s a very real chance he could still be a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, much like Ja’Marr Chase, who happens to be Boutte’s former teammate.
