One of the most impressive individual NCAA football performances in some time came from Buffalo Bulls junior running back Jaret Patterson Saturday. In a 70-41 win over the Kent State Golden Flashes, Patterson ran for 409 yards and eight touchdowns on 36 carries, tying a FBS record for touchdowns in a single game.
And Patterson (seen above in a December 2018 bowl game against Troy) wasn’t far from former Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine’s single-game FBS record of 427 yards (set on 36 carries in a 2014 game against Kansas), but was pulled in the fourth quarter by Buffalo coach Lance Leipold. Still, he delivered an incredible performance, and this came after he picked up 301 yards and four yards against Bowling Green in his previous game last week:
