Alabama Crimson Tide receiver DeVonta Smith won the Heisman Trophy (the first WR to do so since 1991) and the Biletnikoff Award after posting 105 receptions for 1,641 yards and 20 touchdowns through the CFP semifinals, and he put up a dominant first half in the title game, recording 215 yards and three touchdowns on 12 catches. However, the second half saw Smith take a hand injury when he got hit after trying to make a catch:
Smith then was evaluated in the sideline tent for a while, and then went to the locker room. ESPN’s Allison Williams reported that he was questionable to return:

However, Smith was later able to return to the sidelines with a bandaged hand.
Hopefully this injury won’t be too severe for him.
