The Alabama Crimson Tide are always in the hunt to win a National Championship under legendary head coach Nick Saban.
That was no different in 2021, as Saban went to his tenth National Championship game against Georgia.
Unfortunately for Alabama, they were not able to defeat Georgia this past season, losing 33-18 in just Saban’s third loss in a championship game.
They will look to reload for another strong season in 2022, where they will be led by star quarterback Bryce Young in his sophomore year.
Saban spoke with the media after spring practice on Saturday, and said he’s pleased with how the team has been performing in practice.
“This team’s been really good,” Saban said. “This team doesn’t have any complainers. Guys just do what they’re coached to do. They work hard.”
“We don’t have a lot of negative guys on this team, and we have some real positive leadership, which I think is always important. And hopefully, we can build on that and that’ll be something that’s an asset to this team.”
To nobody’s surprise, Alabama enters the season with the best odds to win the National Championship. The Tide are currently sitting at +200 odds.
Saban is not one to give out compliments easily. If his comments on Saturday are any indication, the team could be really special next season.
