NBA legend Kobe Bryant tragically passed away in a helicopter accident in 2020. However, the lethal scorer remains one of the most influential athletes not only in the NBA, but in all of sport.
Bryant’s Nike basketball sneakers are still some of the most worn shoes by NBA players during games, and FC Barcelona even have a jersey inspired and branded by Bryant this season for La Liga.
Unfortunately, due to Bryant’s level of fame, his widow, Vanessa Bryant, has found herself at the center of pregnancy rumors. Earlier in the summer, Vanessa broke her silence and addressed the rumors directly.
“Me protecting my peace, not pregnant & having fun all summer,” Bryant wrote on her Instagram Story in early June. “I’m not mean, I’m just not the one.”
Now, Vanessa is taking to social media to set things straight again, confirming that she is not pregnant.
“Enjoying my honey deuce,” Bryant on Instagram while posting a photo of herself drinking a Honey Deuce cocktail at the U.S. Open, the event’s famous cocktail featuring vodka, lemonade, and raspberry liqueur.
“Keep me posted on how this imaginary pregnancy rumor is coming along. 24 years later … same rumor.”
Fans reacted to Vanessa on social media.
“You know just because you drink don’t mean you not pregnant,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“vanessa shutting down the pregnancy rumors. legend moves only,” someone else added.
“celebrating her abortion?” one fan wanted to know.
Now that the record has been set straight once again, hopefully, people will allow Bryant and her family their peace.
