The Indiana Pacers and thier fans were devastated when star point guard and face of the franchise Tyrese Haliburton went down with an Achilles injury in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

The Pacers went on to lose Game 7, with the Oklahoma City Thunder being crowned NBA champions. Unfortunately, the Pacers’ odds of making another deep run next season just got confirmed as being a lot less likely.

“Pacers president Kevin Pritchard has confirmed Tyrese Haliburton will not play next season Wishing him a healthy recover,” reported Bleacher Report.

Fans reacted to the awful news on social media.

“Still can’t believe he tore his achilles in a G7 man. Just brutal. OKCs ring has to be the most fraudulent in NBA history,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Still think it was the best decision for him to play Historic post season run and probably their last realistic chance at a title,” someone else added.

“So unfortunate. The Pacers are going from just one win away of the title to probably two years away from being contenders again,” one fan added.

“This is heart breaking. I was bullish that the Pacers could make another playoff next year but now I am starting to have my doubts on this,” another fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see what the Pacers can accomplish without Haliburton next season.
