Kevin Durant works social media like few others.
So when a fan trolled him on Twitter Friday, Durant was ready with the ultimate clapback.
The fun started when a Twitter account (@tugmcgruff) posed a rhetorical question, then answered it.
“Is @KDTrey5 the most hated (by fans) top 20 player of all time?”
“I feel like it was Bron for most of my life, but now I think KD is the clubhouse leader, and pulling further away from the field every day.”
Durant, who got tagged in the tweet, wasted no time responding.
“As long as it makes your nba watching experience better, hate me as much as u need,” Durant replied.
Some players just let troll jobs like that slide, but Durant goes right after them. The Phoenix Suns star frequently interacts with fans on Twitter. Now he’s added a new weapon to his game. After Facebook’s parent company, Meta, launched a Twitter competitor, Threads, on Wednesday, Durant issued a challenge to his 21 million Twitter followers.
“On threads with the burner. Come find me,” Durant challenged.
Durant, of course, has mastered the use of multiple burner accounts on Twitter and Instagram to not just clap back at trolls, but for other purposes as well. And now the 13-time All-Star is threading. Watch out.
