Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at Sunday’s Academy Awards is certainly a pop culture moment that won’t soon be forgotten.
The Oscars incident was an instant classic in the social media meme department, and one NBA fan even wore a shirt — proudly! — with a photo of the slap to Monday night’s Houston Rockets game against the San Antonio Spurs at the Toyota Center.
So that’s something.
As for the slap, Smith issued a statement on social media Monday night apologizing to Rock.
And as for the Rockets-Spurs game, well, it ended in unfortunate fashion for Houston.
