The NBA offseason is officially underway after the Golden State Warriors were able to defeat the Boston Celtics to win their fourth NBA championship in eight years.
Now every team will try and come up with a formula to build a team that can be in the Warriors’ situation next year.
According to Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic, that could be impacted by the Indiana Pacers shaking up their roster in a big way.
The Pacers are reportedly “seriously discussing trades” around center Myles Turner and guard Malcolm Brogdon.
Both players are set to become free agents at the end of next season, so it isn’t exactly shocking that the team may be looking to move them for something in return for them before a possible departure.
The Pacers finished with a disappointing 25-57 record last year and traded star forward Domantas Sabonis in the middle of the season.
It now looks like they might undergo a complete rebuild this offseason.
Many around the NBA world are potentially excited to see either Turner or Brogdon elsewhere this offseason.

The Pacers also hold the sixth pick in the upcoming 2022 NBA Draft, and will look to draft an impact player that can play a large role in the team’s potential rebuild moving forward.
Mediocrity is arguably the worst place to be for an NBA team, and the Pacers seem to realize that.
While they are likely better right now with both Turner and Brogdon on the roster, the team hasn’t made it past the second round of the playoffs since the 2013-14 NBA season.
It’s clear that their current core isn’t going to get them over the hump to experience playoff success. And Turner and Brogdon could garner some real interest around the NBA that could bring in a big piece for the Pacers future moving forward.
